When you create an account on StreamVibe, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed (bcrypt) password. We never store your plain-text password. We also log view counts and interactions (likes, comments, saved videos) tied to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve our services, personalise your experience (saved videos, activity feed), protect account security, and communicate service-related updates. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Cookies & Sessions

StreamVibe uses PHP sessions (server-side) to keep you logged in. No cross-site tracking cookies are placed. We may use basic analytics cookies to understand site usage in aggregate.

4. Third-Party Content

Video thumbnails and content may be served from third-party CDNs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. External links to video sources are provided as-is.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you request deletion. You may delete your account by contacting us at the email on the Contact page. Comments and activity logs may be retained in anonymised form for up to 90 days.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Database connections use parameterised queries to prevent SQL injection. HTTPS is recommended for all production deployments.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us via the Contact page for any data requests.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
